Tonight on the Science Channel “Download: The True Story Of The Internet” premiered with one show dedicated to “Search” and one for “The Browser Wars”. I managed to catch “Search”, which chronicled the origination of the search engine from Yahoo! to Google. It also covered the origination of the multi-billion dollar Internet Advertising Industry.
I was quite surprised by the quality of the shows. Usually when you see something like this air on one of the mainstream networks you get one perspective of what took place without actual interviews of any of the people that were really there. This series is defenatly worth a watch.
